Alexandre (Alex) LeBrun is a French entrepreneur and artificial intelligence executive with more than two decades of experience building and scaling AI-driven technology companies.

He is the CEO and Co-Founder of AMI Labs (Advanced Machine Intelligence), a Paris-based AI research and product company co-founded alongside Turing Award laureate and deep learning pioneer Yann LeCun.

LeBrun's career spans the full arc of the modern AI industry, from early natural language processing applications in the 2000s through the current era of large-scale machine intelligence, establishing him as one of Europe's most accomplished serial entrepreneurs in the field.

LeBrun's foundational work in applied AI began with VirtuOz, a conversational AI company he founded that developed intelligent virtual agent technology for enterprise customer engagement. VirtuOz was acquired in 2012 by Nuance Communications, a leader in speech and language technology, marking LeBrun's first significant successful exit and validating his early conviction that natural language interfaces would become central to human-computer interaction.

He subsequently founded Wit.ai, a natural language processing platform designed to give developers accessible tools for building conversational interfaces and voice-enabled applications. Wit.ai was acquired by Meta (then Facebook) in January 2015, after which LeBrun joined the company and led AI initiatives within its product and research ecosystem, working in close proximity to some of the world's foremost AI researchers, including LeCun, who served as Meta's Chief AI Scientist.

LeBrun co-founded Nabla, a Paris-based digital health company focused on deploying artificial intelligence in clinical environments. Nabla has grown to serve more than 85,000 physicians, offering AI-powered tools designed to reduce administrative burden and improve the quality of care delivery. His involvement across such distinct application domains — customer service automation, developer tooling for natural language understanding, and healthcare AI — reflects both the breadth of his technical expertise and his consistent focus on building AI systems that operate in high-stakes, real-world contexts.

At AMI Labs, LeBrun serves as Chief Executive Officer, guiding the company's strategic direction and operational development.
