Tommie Kerssies joined AMI as a member of the technical staff in September 2026. Before that, he spent three and a half years as a PhD candidate at Eindhoven University of Technology’s Mobile Perception Systems Lab.

His experience spans academic and industry research. He was an applied scientist intern with Amazon’s Frontier AI & Robotics group and a research intern with ASMPT’s Vision & AI team. Earlier, he worked with Eindhoven University of Technology’s Learning to Learn Lab.

Kerssies studied computer science and engineering, data science in engineering, and AI at Eindhoven University of Technology. He has also worked in software architecture and data science, and co-founded SchoolX.
